The Century-Old Nazareno Dam, established in 1876 by the Nazareno Gamutan Agricultural Irrigators Association (NGADIA), has been in operation for 140 years. It was the first-ever cooperative in the Philippines and remains one of the best irrigation systems. The dam’s construction was led by Nazareno Gamutan, a Boholano who migrated to Plaridel.
