Governor Henry S. Oaminal: Championing Education and Sports in CAPIT Misamis Occidental

Misamis Occidental continues to progress, with education and sports at the forefront of its development. At the helm of these efforts is Governor Henry S. Oaminal, whose leadership has greatly impacted teachers, students, and young athletes, ensuring a brighter future for the province.

Advancing Education for Excellence

Recognizing that education is a key to long-term progress, Governor Henry S. Oaminal has introduced various programs to uplift both educators and students. His administration supports the DepEd ASENSO Awards, inspiring teachers and schools to strive for excellence.

Additionally, the governor addressed the shortage of teachers in Integrated Schools within the Division of Misamis Occidental by allocating provincial funds to hire province- paid teachers, supplementing the teaching workforce despite their non-plantilla status.

Infrastructure development has also been a priority, with improved school facilities providing better learning environments. To support students, financial aid and scholarship programs were expanded, making quality education more accessible and fostering future leaders.
